Comprehensive Renovation/Remodel • Mt. Pleasant

The farmhouse had been in the family for years. The interior was almost entirely wood—floors, walls and ceilings. When the owners retired, they asked us to renew this family gem while preserving its historic character.

We worked closely with the owners to redesign the layout of the master suite, laundry, kitchen, and powder room. We also created space for an additional bathroom upstairs which gave them four bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, with the master and 1 ½ baths downstairs.

We installed a beautiful a range hood made from the pecan tree the homeowners took down just before the renovation. We put in a fireplace mantel that we crafted out of wood that the homeowner had saved from an old church that was destroyed in hurricane Hugo.
The interior of the house is almost entirely wood—floors, walls and ceilings. We took care to match the wood as closely as possible and re-use wood from the original house whenever we could.
